Events - Parkinson's Tournament   May 14 2011

TOURNAMENT RESULTS

The 2nd annual Blazing Paddles tournament held Saturday, May 14, 2011 by the Lane County Table Tennis Club was a "blazing success. It was a charity event with this year's proceeds going to benefit the local association for Parkinson's Disease. The tournament raised $1280 to be donated to Parkinson's Resources of Oregon. These funds will be used locally to support needy folks who suffer from this disease.

Participants included club members and others from out of town like Bend and Corvallis. There was a good turnout of spectators as well, with admission going to the Parkinson's charity.

The trophy winners in various categories included:

Doubles Under 2000

1. 1st - Kwang Jo Kim and Tom Rozinski
2. 2nd - Harvey Wang and Kyle Lake

Doubles under 1000:

1. 1st - Eric Lugert and Clayton Winkle
2. 2nd - Bo Bloesinger and Bobby Foster

Doubles under 800:

1. 1st - Susan Goodyear and Janet Seiber
2. 2nd - Frank Bertrand and Don Wilson

Doubles under 400:

1. 1st - Richard and Kathi Riedman
2. 2nd - Tom and Alicia Riedman

Singles under 1200:

1. 1st - Harvey Wang
2. 2nd - Kyle Lake

2. 2nd - Janet Seiber

Singles under 200:

1. 1st - Tom Riedman
2. 2nd - Kathi Riedman

The tournament organizing committee included: Tom Mitchell, tournament director; Dave Combs, registration and finances; Mike Pitman, publicity and Chuck Russell. Bo Bloesinger took photographs, and BJ shot videos.
